Personal information

Hello users, fans, contributers of dict.cc! I´m a med student, currently studying in Budapest / Szeged. I´ll stay some years here in hungary and ofc I´m trying to learn the language. "dict.cc" always was, always will be my first choice besides dictionaries in printed book format. It already helped me with many other languages and now that I am here, I started to use the hungarian section and had to learn quite fast how small it is compared to other sections. So I´ve decided not just to learn the language, also to contribute to dict.cc and help others while doing so. The work on RU, LA, IT, ES, EN, EO is just to keep the language skills. Till 30.000 inputs the focus is on HU and the next project is EN/HU.

My sources are dictionaries, phrase books, wikipedia, googled dictionary pdf´s and random hungerian literature!
I started alphabeticly and till I reach "Z", DE/HU will be past the betaphase.

Updated: The DE/HU-section finally reached 30.000 translations. Next project will be EN/HU, which will be alot less work after the huge buildup of the german pair.

For any new people interested in the language pair, I´m always open for questions, suggestions or mature discussion about any language I´m working on. We are just a few active contributers here, so every vote counts and working together is the key for progress. I often help beginners in dict.cc. Skype, Ts2/3, Mumble, Ventrilo, Facebook, ICQ/IRC or whatever voice/messenger you use is fine for me. Atleast in the past people were happy about a crashcourse and many of them became valuable contributers without doing many of the usual startermistakes :)
